A Letter from
|
Dear Friends, With all the amazing physical changes on campus, it’s easy to overlook a comparable transformation underway in the connections among our alumni, across the country and across the globe. Franklin & Marshall alumni enjoy spending time together. As a result, our regional chapter program is thriving, with new chapters taking root in cities from coast to coast. This year we welcomed more alumni to regional events than ever before due to the hard work of volunteers who planned a broad range of fun and interesting programs, many featuring presentations by President Fry. Keep coming out to these regional events and bring your friends! For more chapter information, go to page 33. F&M alumni like to stay in touch with one another. To make this easier, the College has contracted with PCI to publish a print alumni directory by early next year—our first in more than 10 years. The same company will provide a new, comprehensive online community that will make it simpler for all of us to stay connected. PCI will contact every alumnus, starting this spring, to gather contact information for the directory. Our graduates also love an opportunity to reminisce and reconnect with classmates, making Reunion Weekend a focal point of our programming. Our second spring reunion in recent history is fast approaching. This year, classes ending in 2 or 7 are celebrating their reunions. New ideas for alumni programming are emerging every day. We are working closely with the Alumni Engagement Task Force of the Board of Trustees to identify ways to strengthen the alumni experience. The task force will present their final report in May, and I look forward to sharing their ideas with you and eliciting your thoughts on how F&M can be an enduring and cherished component of your life. With warm regards,
|
